Drug addicts

Greetings from the Philippines!

Life is good. I've been catching up with my cousins and making the same old jokes. Daniel getting left behind in church, me believing Digiland exists, Mildred crying in school because she left our plant homework at home. Oh, the good old days.

Yesterday, the whole family went to visit Auntie Brenda's house for lunch and catching up, and I realized that they were the only family we were never really close with. It's pretty sad when I think about it, because I'm sure kuya Enif and kuya Ian are very cool people.

I just realized, kuya Ian and I are the only people in the family to "break the barrier". The only kids in the family with "crazy" hair, the only ones who dare study the arts in college, and we both apparently look like drug addicts. This may not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but it's an incredibly big deal in the family. Everyone else is doing/did a degree in Engineering, Accounting, or anything that offers a stable job, while we opt for freelancing type jobs like in Photography or Filmmaking. It's sad. We probably have a lot in common and could talk about anything and everything. I really wonder why we're not really friends.

In less depressing news, I'm going to Enchanted Kingdom with my cousins today! I am so psyched! If I'm feeling especially brave today, I might take the Space Shuttle. If you didn't know, it's this roller coaster that goes in loops and goes backwards! It's insane. I just pray that I won't piss my pants.

So all is good so far. I hope you're all doing fine there as well.

Vomit & Cigarettes

Hi,

I've still been pretty busy lately, despite being past hell week, but it has still been a pretty good week. I only skipped school once this week! It's such an accomplishment. Though despite my good week, I've been incredibly annoyed with some people. I guess I should just forgive and forget.

I'm flying off for Philippines in a week, and I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it. On one hand, I'm gonna be enjoying the lovely company of my family, I get to eat all the Filipino food I want, I get to shop, go to Enchanted Kingdom and all that jazz. On the other hand, I won't have time to work on my school work and I don't get to work. I'm sure I'll enjoy the trip in the end though.

I filmed with these lovelies last week. We were supposed to film tomorrow as well, but something came up. So I guess tomorrow will just be church, hair bleaching, Starcraft, and maybe a bit of work. I thank God that I don't have anymore Contemporary Issues classes anymore, so mondays are free, which means long weekends! I actually can't wait for the start of next week.

Here is the video my group did for Contemporary Issues. I think we did a pretty good job considering most of the planning was really impromptu. I handled the wide-angle shots, but I wanted to steal Zaw's 50mm standard lens. Anyway, I think you all should check it out.

Also, this happened. I WAS, and still am, AS PSYCHED AS BALLS, AND NO ONE AND NOTHING WAS ABLE TO RUIN MY DAY. JIMMY WONG<3

Hi,

I've been really busy with school recently, so I haven't had the time to update much. Everything done this week was pretty much schoolwork, and everything else seems irrelevant. It's been a good week though. God is good.

Guess what I saw on my Tumblr dashboard the other day! Hahahahahaha. It totally made my day. I was ROFLing for the longest time.

So yeah, just a quick update to assure you that I'm still alive. Hopefully, I would still be so after this week.  I know it's gonna be a less harsh version of last week's hell week, but I know that God is good and my strength is in Him!
