I still think we're T1A1

I've had an extremely crappy week. From transportation, to dealing with people, to schoolwork, and to everything else. I just had a very bad week in general.

However, my classmates have really helped cheer me up! There's Karthik forever entertaining me with Karthik's Kritique Korner, Sally bestowing us a magnificent cake from Awfully Chocolate, Kelly for entertaining me with Superman poses in aerobics, Samuel for always being willing to help me out with Maya, Ervin for helping me look out for people worthy to be Poshed, and my two lovely girls, Kuan Hui and Nicolette for tolerating my ramblings, cheering me up, and entertaining me with the stupidest yet funniest stuff ever.

I really love my class. Even though we don't look as bonded as other classes are, we seem to work together really well. It's better to have a few friends and the rest neutrals, than a lot of friends who, for all we know, are frenemies out to attack you.

We should really go and have a class dinner somewhere soon. The last time I think something like this happened was on my birthday last year at Island Creamery. We all need to go visit Food For Thought now!

Also, I love how into Poshism most of my classmates are. "Hey, Liza. Got see Poshism last night anot?"

The Fashion Culture

Fashion Feud is coming in a few weeks and submission is starting this week.

If you don't know what Fashion Feud is, it is Singapore's first inter-polytechnic fashion competition where the five different polytechnics compete to see who has the most fashionable students. The person who gets the most Poshed look on the site gets to win cash prizes, and shoes from Feiyue! It is hosted by the recently revamped fashion site, Poshism

Some might say that Poshism is pretty much a Singaporean version of Lookbook, but there are some differences. They are similar, where people can upload their looks on the website and people can posh/hype their look if they like it. The major difference is that in Poshism, the uploaded looks are moderated before being uploaded to the site, whereas in Lookbook, any submission goes on the site straight away.

There are pros and cons to this. Some may think Poshism is better because since there is a moderation, the looks on the website would be of a much higher standard. But then again, I think it could be a con as the moderators may like a different fashion style than you do. This results in not having your look posted, or not liking the looks on the website.

There's no way to fully satisfy everyone's needs and wants, so I don't think that there is anything wrong with having moderators on the site. I think it's better to have a higher standard of what the judges would want, rather than having a whole mash of different things. Quality over quantity. So I really do like most of the looks that are on the site, and I like how it feels like it's such a tight-knit community. I think Poshism is doing alright, and it's definitely gonna go real big in the future.

Too much green

I am now sunburnt and a few shades tanner.

This is because I worked for Ashley as his second photographer last week for a charity golfing event hosted by Highpoint. I've never played golf, or even been on a golf course before, so I had no idea it would be that freaking hot and that freaking long. Now I have really ugly tanktop tan lines, a face that is slightly darker than my body, and feet that are as white as my skin could be.

I went on a liver-killing spree over the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Besides that, nothing much has happened since I've last blogged. Poshism's contest starts today. E-learning week this week. Avalon night has been moved to next week. Assignments are starting to pile up. Goodness. Year 2 goes by quick.

This is what my holiday to do list looks like after eight weeks. It was my most productive holiday to date and I honestly can't believe I didn't spend half the time on my bed. I actually think that I went out more during the holidays than when I went to school last semester. I can't decide if that's surprising or not.

A lot of stuff has happened since the last time I did a what-happened blog post, and I'll try to make individual posts for everything soon. A lot of stuff is gonna happen  in the next few weeks, and I'll try to make individual posts for those things too. How exciting. My planner's been pretty much full to the brim week after week, but it's been pretty fun.

Like I said, I'm a photographer for Poshism, but I do upload some of my own looks on it. Here's one look that got approved recently. I love this combo, because it's all my favourite pieces together! Not as special as the other outfits on Poshism, I know, but I'm happy it got approved! I shall do a post explaining what Poshism is and how it works and everything really soon!

Another photography thing that I'm doing is posting photos on my new Street Photography blog on Tumblr. Click the logo to go to the site. I used to not like photography, but now I'm just like meh. I don't necessarily think it's art, my own work, I mean, but I just like capturing things I find interesting and sharing it with the world. Maybe that's what some people may think what art is, but to me it's just fun and games, but I still do hope you like it.

It's currently 5am. I don't have classes later, but I do still need to go out later, so I'm gonna attempt to sleep now. Go on Poshism and Posh me. Muchos loves.
